Family Friendly Holidays in Dublin City Centre 

Famous for our warm and welcoming atmosphere,  The Castle Hotel is a popular choice for families visiting Dublin.  We offer a variety of spacious family rooms, and plenty of dining options in either of our two family friendly restaurants and bars.  

We are located in the heart of Dublin City Centre close to all public transport links giving easy access to Dublin’s coastline,  we also have car parking so should you choose to take the car you can be sitting on the nearest beach at Sandymount, in just 15 minutes. Hop on and Hop off bus routes are available on the doorstep. 
  
We offer the perfect base to explore the many family attractions in the area including Dublin Zoo in the Phoenix park which is just 10 minutes’ drive away or immerse yourself in history at any of the 3 National Museums of Dublin which are all less than 30 minutes’ walk away and are all free to enter.  

For Nature lovers the National Botanic Gardens with over 15000 plant species is also within walking distance to the hotel, here you will find a calm and beautiful green space.  Open all year round and offering family friendly tours for the little ones to enjoy,  they also have a regular calendar of events especially tailored for children.

We have a variety of spacious family bedrooms to suit all family types with plenty of space for the little ones to enjoy so you can make the most of your family time together and create those special memories. Our family rooms are suitable for 2 adults and up to 3 children, we are happy to offer discounts on multi-room bookings if teenagers or grandparents are joining you on your trip.   Ask for our special discount when booking. 

If you prefer to self-cater,  we do have a number of one bedroom apartments with kitchen facilities which can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children in our Harry Clarke Mews to the rear of the hotel.

The older children will enjoy Sea Life Aquarium in Bray or Epic Immigration Museum (Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction in 2020) or the more adventurous can scale new heights in Zipit Forest Adventure in Tibradden Woods.

Whether you have spent your day on the beach or in the trees of Tibradden woods making memories,  you are all sure to have worked up an appetite. The friendly team will be waiting to serve you in either the Old Music Shop Restaurant or the Castle Vaults Bar where we offer something to suit all the family from the usual holiday favourites such as Pizza or Burgers to for something more substantial try a Rib Eye Streak with all the trimmings. Both venues are family friendly and sure to please.  All kids will enjoy a complimentary Ice Cream with every child’s meal.
