AFTERNOON TEA AT THE CASTLE HOTEL

Create Memories in Dublin with our Classic Afternoon Tea & Vegetarian Afternoon Tea, served daily in our elegant Georgian Room restaurant.

First created in 1840, the story goes that, finding herself hungry at four o’clock in the afternoon, a grand Duchess requested that a tray of Sandwiches, Cake and a Pot of Tea be brought to her private living quarters to help ward off her afternoon hunger.

The idea soon became routine, and the Duchess decided to invite a few of her friends for tea in the afternoon and thus, a new social event was born.

Our Afternoon Tea is Served Daily 12pm - 5pm (Last orders 4pm) and consists of a delightful array of tasty finger sandwiches, delicious and delicate miniature desserts and crumbly homemade buttermilk scones with preserves. An extensive selection of Coffees, Organic Teas, Cold Beverages are available to accompany.

Add to the sense of occasion with wine, Prosecco, mimosa or pink Gordon's gin and fever tree tonic.

Every Winter, in November and December we will be serving Festive Afternoon Tea in our Our Music Shop Restaurant.
