The Coronas are an Irish rock band that originated in Dublin. The band members include lead vocalist and guitarist Danny O'Reilly, bass guitarist Graham Knox, drummer Conor Egan, and guitarist Dave McPhillips. The Coronas have gained popularity for their melodic and anthemic rock sound. The Coronas formed in 2003 while the members were still in secondary school. They initially went by the name "Kiros" before changing it to "Corona" and later "The Coronas."

The band released their debut album, "Heroes or Ghosts," in 2007. The album received positive reviews and helped establish The Coronas in the Irish music scene. Following their debut, The Coronas released several more albums, including "Tony Was an Ex-Con" (2009), "Closer to You" (2011), "The Long Way" (2014), and "Trust the Wire" (2017). These albums showcased the band's evolution and solidified their fan base.

The Coronas have received critical acclaim for their music and have won several awards, including the Meteor Choice Music Prize for "Song of the Year" in 2010 for their track "San Diego Song." The band has embarked on various tours, performing not only in Ireland but also internationally. Their energetic live performances have contributed to their growing fan base.

Over the years, The Coronas have experimented with their sound, incorporating elements of folk, pop, and indie rock. This versatility has allowed them to appeal to a diverse audience. The Coronas released their sixth studio album, "True Love Waits," in 2020. The album features track such as "Haunted" and "Lost in the Thick of It."
