Paul Weller is a highly influential English singer, songwriter, and musician. Born on May 25, 1958, in Woking, Surrey, England, Weller initially gained fame as the lead singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the influential punk and new wave band The Jam, which was active from 1972 to 1982. The Jam achieved considerable success in the late 1970s and early 1980s with hits like "Town Called Malice" and "Going Underground."

Following the disbandment of The Jam, Weller formed The Style Council with Mick Talbot. The Style Council explored a more diverse musical range, incorporating elements of soul, jazz, and R&B. They released several albums in the 1980s before disbanding in 1989. Weller then launched a solo career, starting with the self-titled album "Paul Weller" in 1992. His solo work has covered various genres, including rock, folk, and soul. Some of his notable solo albums include "Wild Wood" (1993), "Stanley Road" (1995), and "22 Dreams" (2008).

Known for his distinctive voice and prolific songwriting, Weller has been a significant figure in British music for several decades. He has received numerous awards and accolades, and his influence extends beyond his musical contributions.
