Nestled along the scenic seafront of Bray, County Wicklow, Marine Life Aquarium Bray is the exciting revival of the much-loved former Sealife Aquarium on Strand Road. After its closure in late 2023, the venue has now reopened under its new branding, promising a fresh, modern experience with interactive displays, educational programmes and a strong commitment to marine conservation.

Located right on Bray’s picturesque promenade, the aquarium is ideally situated for families, tourists and anyone with an interest in ocean life. Visitors can expect a range of newly conceived and reimagined habitats featuring a colourful underwater world filled with tropical fish including clownfish, angelfish, tangs and pufferfish. Among the biggest highlights are their sharks, who glide through their ocean habitat offering a dramatic, up-close look at some of the ocean’s most iconic predators. Visitors can also encounter piranhas, known for their sharp teeth and fast movements, which add an exciting edge to the freshwater displays.

Beyond the marine world, the aquarium now features a beautiful Butterfly Garden, a warm and tranquil space filled with free-flying butterflies, tropical plants and gentle rainforest-style ambience. This calm retreat provides a lovely contrast to the underwater exhibits and is quickly becoming a favourite among families and nature lovers.

Adding even more variety, the Reptile and Creepy Crawly Zone allows visitors to meet snakes, geckos, lizards, giant snails, stick insects, tarantulas and more. This hands-on, educational area showcases some of the world’s most intriguing creatures and offers a close look at animals many people rarely get to see.
