Christmas at The Castle 

The historic courtyard of Dublin Castle is transformed for the festive season with over 30 traditional alpine market stalls featuring an array of decorative crafts and inspiring gift ideas. Indulge in traditional fare sold by artisan producers, explore the historical and festively decorated State Apartments and soak up the atmosphere with live music. 

Before you enter the courtyard there's a chance to visit the chapel to see an ornate crib. 'Christmas at the Castle' has a a vintage carousel on-site for children and adults alike. Bite into a hot dog, savour a pint in the bar tent or enjoy a hot chocolate or some mulled wine.

During December Dublin Castle will host an array of local musical talent with performances from different groups each night featuring  Dublin Gospel Choir, New Dublin Voices, Playlist, Crux Vocal Ensemble and many more. Even if you miss the live performers, festive music is played throughout. 

Expect an experience in the heart of Dublin filled with seasonal cheer to help get you into the Christmas Spirit! Christmas at the Castle 2023 promises something for everyone.

Please ask a member of our Castle Hotel team about the best way to reach Dublin Castle. It's a 20 minute walk taking in the wonderful bridges over the River Liffey and cobblestoned streets of Temple Bar. Public transport is also available.
