Bloomsday 2014

Sunday 16th June in Dublin City Centre

Bloomsday 2014 will take place in Dublin City Centre on Sunday 16th June. It is celebrated on 16th June every year and the reason behind the celebration is to commemorate the fabulous work of Irish Arthur James Joyce.

Fans of James Joyce can be seen on 16th June each year dressed in Edwardian costume. This is to conjure up the atmosphere of the period which Ulysses was set, which was in 1904.

The James Joyce Centre is located just across the road from the Castle Hotel on North Great Georges Street. The James Joyce Centre will host a weeks long of events including, walking tours, brand new theatre, talks and many other special events, live music and staples like the traditional Bloomsday Breakfast.
