23rd August 2014, Dublin

The Annual Liffey Swim will take place on Saturday 23rd August from the Loop Line Bridge (Railyway Bridge) in Dublin and swimmers are welcome to go along and take part in the challenge.

In 2012 the Liffey Swim attracted over 250 men and 100 women to take part in what is a historic race. Swimmers of all ages, abilities and all level of competitiveness are encourged to take part.

Onlookers are asked to take to the streets to cheer along and encourage the swimmers throughout the race, tip the Liffey Boardwalk has on the best views so best to get there early.

The same course is being used as last year as this year the construction for the new bridge between Hawkins Street and Malborough Street is out of bounds making way for the new Luas line bridge so the race will take place from the Loop Line Bridge (Railway Bridge) to the East Link Bridge.
