The Fureys & Davey Arthur @Vicar Street
5th April 2014, Vicar Street
The Fureys and Davey Arthur will perform at Vicar Street on Saturday 5th April 2014 and tickets are priced from 30 Euro.
The group were brought together as a band by accident in 1978 when three of the band, Paul, George and Davey were in a band called the Buskers and theywere away in Denmark and the others Finbar and Eddie were touring in Germany and the group were involved in a car accident, the guys heard the news and rushed straight to be with their brothers in Germany.
After that the guys decided that they should play together in a group and that was the start of the Fureys and Davey Arthur.
Sadly after that in 1996 Finbar left the band and Paul passed away in 2002, but George, Eddie and Davey Arthur continue to tour and perform and have been releasing albums every year.
Some of their hits over the years for the band include, 'The Green Fields of France', 'Red Rose Cafe', 'Sweet Sixteen', 'Her Father Didn't Like Me Anyway' and 'The Old Man'.
