Dublin Port River Fest

Taking place at North Wall Quay Dublin from June 1st to 3rd

Visitors to Dublin can avail of the Dublin Port River Fest from June 1st to 3rd at North Wall Quay and choose from a wide range of activites taking place on Dublin's River Liffey. This is the first Docklands Port Festival to take place in Dublin and coincides with the International Gathering  of Gaffer Boats celebrating the 50th Birthday of the Old Gaffer Association.

The Gaffer boats are all handemade of wood and most of them are over 100 years old. This Gathering will be the biggest of the Gaffer Boats that Ireland has ever had. The races will take place from 1pm on June 1st from Samuel Becket Bridge to the East Link Bridge.

The Festival will feature many festival attractions and activites including Gaffer Boats Gathering with a Festival of Sail. A Liffey and Port Photo Competition and Pirate Village with arts and crafts for the children will also be available.

A Dublin Port Tug Boat Dance with water canon on the river, balloon artists, face painters, a circus, a fun fair, port boat tours, a docker and sailor themed porter bar and cafe and a food market are also available to visitors.

Families are welcome to the event and stroll throught the farmers market while the kids enjoy the Festival activities or visit the fun fair. A DJ will have the tunes hopping all weekend, competitions will be in place and commentary.
