Free Luas Travel for Kids
Dublin’s Luas is offering FREE* Travel for 2 kids with 1 paying adult every Saturday and Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. Families can avail of this great offer for the months of February, March and April.
There is plenty of fun interesting and exciting new places to take your family this Spring, whilst you save money!! Some of the places you can visit are as follows:
On the Red Line from Lower Abbey Street:
Dublin Zoo & Phoenix Park – Take your family to Dublin Zoo for a fun packed day, walk about the Zoo and capture all the animals, if you get there early you are sure to catch some of the feeding times and take a walk around Phoenix Park where you will find some lovely relaxing areas to take a seat and have a picnic, you may be even lucky enough to see some deer.
Tallaght – Travel to Tallaght where you can avail of some great fun things to do for the kids, especially at Leisure Plex where you can enjoy Quasar, Bowling, Cinema and Zoo Adventure Land and for the adults some shopping can be done from the many shopping outlets available and sit back and relax and have a nice tasty lunch from some of the many choices in the shopping centre.
The O2 & Dublin Docklands – If you have a concert you wish to go to with your family in the O2 Dublin then take the Luas and save money! Visit the O2 market on the weekends where you can pick up some nice gifts or some fresh produce and appetites. Dublin Docklands is just beside the O2 and is a nice place to take a walk in the evenings where you can see the boats coming in and out.
Connolly Station & Bus Aras – If you are travelling outside the City Centre for the day via Bus or Train from Connolly Station or Bus Aras you can pop on the Luas to get there. There are many choices of places to visit via DART, including Dublin’s beautiful North side Coastal Towns, such as Malahide, Howth & Pormarnock. Or take a trip to Bray and enjoy the experience of the Aquarium. Busses from Bus Aras can take you nearly anywhere you need to go in the Country.
On the Green Line from Saint Stephen’s Green:
Dundrum – Choose from some of the many shopping outlets for a great day out shopping and hassle free parking by taking the Luas. Catch up for lunch with a nice cup of coffee from BB’s Coffee and Muffins, Brambles Café, Starbucks, Butlers Café and Chocolates, Café Libro & more. Or take a break for lunch and enjoy something tasty from Eddie Rockets, KFC, Nando’s, TGI Friday’s, Mao Restaurant and Not Forgetting new to the centre, Jamie Oliver’s “Jamie’s Italian”!!
For the Kids Movies at Dundrum is open from early to late every day and The Rainforest Adventure Golf is a great activity they will love!!
