16th November 2012 to 13th January 2013 at the RDS.

The RDS is the annual host for ice skating every year. This year its back for the whole family to enjoy and for people of all ages.  This year it is Irelands newest and biggest skating rink, and thousands of people visiting every year. It will never be too crowded as there is a restricted amount of people aloud on the ice at the one time. There is a separate rink for the younger beginner skaters to enjoy the experience, with friendly penguins there to help them keep their balance.

It is a fantastic affordable day out with family tickets from just €35.00 off peak and €45:00 at peak times.

Ice Hockey Lessons

There is an ice hockey programme taking place as a fun way to introduce kids between the age of 5 and 12 years to ice skating in a safer way. Helmets, gloves and protective pads are provided during training. It takes place every Saturday morning from 8am until 10am from November until January

The RDS is just a 10 minute car journey away from The Castle Hotel or a 20 minute bus ride, just take the number 4 bus from O’Connell Street; it is the perfect day out during your trip to Dublin. So get you skates on and get down to the RDS.
