Kayaking and Rafting
Kayaking and Rafting are popular sports taking place on the River Liffey and give you the opportunity to see Dublin City from a completely different perspective!
Kayaking
City Kayaking operates from their base at the Dublin City Moorings beside the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) on the River Liffey right in the heart of Dublin City.
Using sit-on-top kayaks makes this activity ideal for beginners looking to try out kayaking, locals and tourists interested in seeing the city from a different angle.
With wetsuits and splash proof gear available for use all you need to bring is a change of clothes that you don’t mind getting wet, a towel and old runners and you’re ready to go. They will kit you out with buoyancy aids and helmets and you’ll be on your way.

Group OutingsWhether it’s a birthday party, a class outing, a work gang or a group of friends looking to get out and do something different, you’re guaranteed to have a great time. City Kayaking caters for groups of all shapes and sizes.

Kayak RentalsYou can rent a Kayak on the weekends working around the scheduled river trips. These supervised rentals operate between Samuel Beckett Bridge and Talbot bridge. Your instructor will give you a few tips and tricks to get you going and will be supervising you with a safety boat should you need any help.

Great day out, rafting down the river Liffey through the strawberry beds. Leave the hustle and bustle of the city for a few hours.
The price is per raft, each raft has a maximum capacity of 8. They provide all the relevant technical safety equipment required i.e. buoyancy aids, helmets, cagoule jackets, etc. Experienced raft guide and the river transport shuttle. If you have your own wetsuits you can bring them along. If not you can rent them at an additional cost of €5.
The ability to swim is not a requirement for taking part in rafting trips.
Duration: 2 - 2.5hrs on the water.
Cost: €249 Monday - Friday, €279 at the weekends
