Everyone know the Disney Classic, but do you know it was not all “bippity boppity boo”? The original story was written by The Grimm Brothers, and by that name, you can only imagine that the story is not going to be a happy one. Their rendition of Cinderella is notable for the lack of fairy-tale carriages, and the addition of two evil stepsisters who will stop at nothing to get their prince and that includes cutting off their toes and heels to fit into the magic shoes.
Katie McCann’s adaptation is expressly intended to repackage and renew this classic tale for the modern audience, so expect folklore with thoroughly fashionable flavour.
