From the team who brought you the hugely successful 'The Matchmaker', John B Keane, Jon Kenny, Mary McEvoy & Michael Scott now present the hilarious world premiere of "THE SUCCESSFUL TD". Showing in the Gaiety Theatre from the 6th - 18 Feb 2017, it promises to be entertaining throughout. 
Based on The Letters of a successful TD and an Irish minister of state, "THE SUCCESSFUL TD" follows the trials, tribulations, misadventures and hilarious antics of TULL McADOO as he seeks re-election to the Dail in the “October Elections”. Written by John B.Keane in 1967, it displays his edge for humour and satire which are unwittingly close to the politics of today.

Following its record-breaking run at the Lyric Theatre Belfast in 2016, this reimagined production of Willy Russell’s award-winning comedy, Educating Rita embarks on a tour of Ireland in 2017 with its original cast of Michael James Ford and Kerri Quinn, from the 21st - 25th March 2017 in the Gaiety Theater.

Educating Rita is a stage comedy by British playwright Willy Russell. The plays follows the relationship between a 26-year- old working class hairdresser and Frank, a middle-aged university lecturer. Rita a no-nonsense hairdresser from the working-class streets of Belfast is tired of her job, her prospects, her husband, her life.  She wants to be the sort of woman who knows the difference between Shaw’s Bridge and George Bernard Shaw, and so enrolls in an Open Learning course in English

Literature where she meets her tutor Frank - a lecturer from North Down who teaches at Queen’s - and begins her journey of self-discovery.
The play deals with the concept of freedom, change, England's class system, the shortcomings of institutional education, and the nature of self-development and of personal relationships.

Good Mourning Mrs Brown
