Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina is an examination of a country in the midst of extraordinary change. Through the impact of one woman’s decision, it looks at the troubling cost of love on the human soul. Wayne Jordan (Oedipus, Twelfth Night, 16 Possible Glimpses) reunites with Marina Carr to bring this explosive story to life. Showing in the Abbey Theatre, Dublin, from 7th December 2016 - 28th January 2017, it promises to be a moving and enjoyable production.

BIG: The Musical

BIG THE MUSICAL, the heart-warming and hilarious Broadway show based on the classic movie starring Tom Hanks, comes to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre for the its European premiere season. Leading an all-star cast, Jay McGuiness (The Wanted singer and Strictly Come Dancing champion) will be joined by West End stars Denise Van Outen as Mrs Baskin, Diana Vickers as Susan Lawrence and Gary Wilmot as George MacMillan with The Hoosiers star Irwin Sparkes as Paul. Showing from 7th December - 7th January, it is definitely the show for the big kid in all of us.

La Cage aux Folles

Georges and the dazzling drag artiste Albin (star of la Cage aux Folles), live an idyllic existence in the heart of St Tropez, but behind the curtains of this sparkling extravaganza, all may be about to change. Showing from 10th - 14th January 2017 in the Bord Gais Theatre, Bill Kenwright presents this brand new spectacular version of the much loved musical. Tantalising and touching, this is a lavishly funny tale of unconditional love and family values, and which ultimately encourages you to celebrate that life’s not worth a damn ‘till you can say I am what I am.

West Side Story

18th - 21st January 2017
Provocative finger snapping of street gangs, Puerto Rican girls’ whirling skirts on New York City’s flat roofs and derelict West Side back yards – just a few notes of Leonard Bernstein’s world-famous score. Featuring songs such as Maria, Tonight, Somewhere, America and I Feel Pretty, immediately evoke these images of West Side Story. Joey McKneely’s award-winning staging of West Side Story, the only production in the world to currently feature Jerome Robbins’ original choreography, comes to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from 18th - 21st January 2017, as part of a global tour.

The Successful TD

From the team who brought you the hugely successful 'The Matchmaker', John B Keane, Jon Kenny, Mary McEvoy & Michael Scott now present the hilarious world premiere of "THE SUCCESSFUL TD". Showing in the Gaiety Theatre from the 6th - 18 Feb 2017, it promises to be entertaining throughout. 
Based on The Letters of a successful TD and an Irish minister of state, "THE SUCCESSFUL TD" follows the trials, tribulations, misadventures and hilarious antics of TULL McADOO as he seeks re-election to the Dail in the “October Elections”. Written by John B.Keane in 1967, it displays his edge for humour and satire which are unwittingly close to the politics of today.

The Woman in Black

Susan Hill’s acclaimed ghost story comes dramatically alive in Stephen Mallatratt’s ingenious adaptation. Showing from the 13th - 20th March 2017 in the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin, this gripping production, directed by Robin Herford and designed by Michael Holt, is a brilliantly successful study in atmosphere, illusion and controlled horror. David Acton (Downton Abbey, Doctors, Hollyoaks) plays the role of ‘Arthur Kipps’ and Matthew Spencer (My Family, Alice) plays the role of ‘The Actor’.
