Evita

Following its smash hit run at London’s Dominion Theatre, Bill Kenwright’s production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s EVITA is set to thrill audiences once again at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from the 6th - 17th June.
Telling the story of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, EVITA follows Eva’s journey from humble beginnings through to extraordinary wealth, power and iconic status which ultimately lead her to be heralded as the ‘spiritual leader of the nation’ by the Argentine people.
With more than 20 major awards to its credit, including the Oscar winning film version starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, and featuring some of the most iconic songs in musical theatre, including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, You Must Love Me, and Another Suitcase in Another Hall, this smash hit show truly promises to be THE THEATRICAL EVENT OF THE YEAR!

Wonderland

19th - 24th June 2017
Wonderland is an enchanting musical adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, showing at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre from the 19th - 24th June.
TV and West End star Wendi Peters, much loved for her acclaimed portrayal of Cilla Battersby-Brown in Coronation Street, will headline the UK and Ireland tour of Wonderland as Queen of Hearts alongside musical theatre favourite Dave Willetts, who rose to fame for playing the title role in Phantom of the Opera, as White Rabbit.
Following sold out seasons in Tampa, Texas and Tokyo, the multi Grammy and Drama Desk Award nominated Frank Wildhorn’s Wonderland comes to Dublin for the very first time in this brand new production.
Hailed by the New York Times as ‘inspirational’, Wonderland promises to be an amazing show with a huge heart, a medley of magic and a whole lot of wonder.

The Play That Goes Wrong

Funny Girl

11th - 15th July 2017
Following critically acclaimed and record-breaking sold-out runs at the Menier Chocolate Factory and Savoy Theatre, Sheridan Smith will reprise her highly praised performance of Fanny Brice at selected venues for the UK and Ireland tour of Funny Girl – she is set to perform in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from 11th - 15th July 2017.
This ‘iconic, legendary, laugh-out- loud’ (The Times) musical tells the story of Fanny Brice, whose vocal talents and comedic ability see her rise from Brooklyn music hall singer to Broadway star.
50 years ago, Funny Girl brought fame to Barbara Streisand and boasts some of the most iconic songs in film and theatre history, including 'People' and 'Don’t Rain On My Parade'. 
Now, on stage, the role of Fanny Brice quite belongs to Sheridan Smith, whose iconic stage performace is so captivating that she makes these classics well and truly her own.

Angela's Ashes

An uplifting story of hope, fortitude & family, the major musical adaptation, of Frank McCourt’s memoir Angela's Ashes comes to the Bórd Gáis Energy Theatre from the 18th - 29th July, in an emotional telling of a childhood in Limerick and beyond. Featuring unforgettable songs and melodies, told with a rare lyricism and a warm inimitable sense of humour, this musical promises to be a story you will not forget soon.
As his parents struggle to provide for him and his brothers in 1940s Ireland, we follow Young Frank’s escapades and experiences in a Dickensian landscape peopled by a drunken father, a helpless mother, pompous priests, bullying schoolmasters, money-lenders and dancing-teachers, culminating in his defiant escape to a new life in America.
A haunting score adds to the emotional impact and the humour of the story. Angela's Ashes has that rare gift of bringing an audience to tears one minute, laughing out loud the next – by turns, deeply moving and riotously funny, this new musical promises to be one of the major theatrical events in Ireland in 2017.

Good Mourning Mrs Brown
